Herons Wey Campsite & Residential Centre
Herons Wey Campsite and Residential Centre is open to members of Girlguiding, Scouting, Uniformed Organisations, Charitable Groups and other Youth Organisations including Schools and Duke of Edinburgh groups for residential stays and day bookings.
Weyside is our residential accommodation which can sleep up to 30. There is a 24 bed bunk room and 2 leader rooms each sleeping 3. With a fully fitted kitchen, big hall and a lovely play area outside, it is an ideal spot for units to enjoy a pack holiday.
With over 50 acres of space and 8 camping areas we can accommodate large group camping.
Onsite are numerous activities to keep young people on the go, including: zip wire, bouldering wall, woodland adventure course and Archery
Paxmead Riverside Base
Paxmead Riverside Base is a residential centre available to members of Girlguiding, The Scout Association and other youth organisations. The site sits on the glorious River Thames in Shepperton, Middlesex and is within easy reach of both Windsor and London.
Our well equipped residential house sleeps up to 30 people with a bunk room of 24 and two leaders rooms of accommodating 3 people. We have full disabled access and disabled washing facilities.
If you have a bigger group wishing to stay, Paxmead’s grounds can accommodate up to 60 additional campers.
If your group is into watersports, we have our own private jetty which gives direct access to the River Thames. This is ideal for groups to explore the local area by kayak, canoe or paddleboard. We also have a range of paddlesport equipment for hire.

S’mores and a campfire are the perfect end to a day of exploration. Location
North Norfolk Camping & Glamping is located in a rural area, but it is still close to the beach, the countryside, and the nearby towns. Relax in the tranquility, peace, and quiet of nature and explore the unique landscape of North Norfolk by camping near the lake, the woods, and the meadows. Wildlife abounds in both the trees and the seas; owls and deer are common land animals, and grey seals visit Weybourne and Blakeney Point every year. Our neighbourhood is near the beautiful Norfolk coast and the historic district of the Georgian town of Holt. North Norfolk Camping & Glamping is a great vacation spot because of its proximity to the coast and its abundance of locally owned businesses. Several wonderful seaside towns, including Sheringham, Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea, and Cromer, are located in close proximity to this area.
Visit and enjoy all the wonderful sites and activities that make North Norfolk the special and breathtaking place it is. Some examples of things to do are go on nature hikes, play in sand dunes, observe seals, and look for samphire. Holkham Hall, Baconsthorpe Castle, the Norfolk Coast Path, and the town of Burnham Market are just a few of the exciting and fascinating places you can visit in the area.

Our campground, Holt Hollow, is surrounded by forested hills, picturesque lakes, and wildlife-rich fields. Tents of all shapes and sizes are welcome, whether you’re a group of hikers or a family. In addition to standard tents, we welcome campervans and even provide more opulent accommodations like bell tents and shepherd’s huts. Join us for a night under the stars, and don’t forget to pack your favourite comfort items.
Glamping Options
Bell Tents – If you’re a city dweller looking for a relaxing and social outdoor getaway, our North Norfolk location is ideal. If you live in the city and want to go camping but don’t want to deal with the hassle of setting up your own campsite, these are for you. Come and experience the joys of glamping on the North Norfolk Coast. Each tent has been furnished in a bohemian style and equipped with all the necessities to make your camping trip with the family more pleasant.
Glamping Shepherds Huts – Our Glamping Shepherds Huts come with everything you will need for a back-to-the-wild stay including but not limited to a big comfy bed, a small kitchenette with gas stove, your own ensuite shower room and a warming woodburning stove for chilly evenings. Our Glamping Shepherds Huts are of course dog friendly!”
Blank Canvas Bell Tents – Our blank canvas bell tents are perfect for campers who would rather not set up their tents. They are less expensive than the fully furnished bell tents and come equipped with mosquito nets, lanterns, and waterproof floors. Bringing along furniture for your tent, cooking equipment, and other necessities can make camping feel more like a home away from home.
Facilities
We have fire pits, firewood, and campfires, as well as flushing toilets and drinking fountains. There are also showers available for you to clean yourself after a long day of activities!
Standard arrival time between 14:00 and 17:00 for Camping & 15:00 and 17:00 for Glamping – after this time it will be a self check in
Camping and glamping in North Norfolk are open to you and your entire party, including your dog. We welcome all types of campers, whether you’re a family with a big tent, a group of friends with dome tents, or a couple in a campervan.
Farningham Woods Scout Campsite
The Farningham Woods Scout Campsite is a “back to basics” campsite in 10 acres of coppiced woodland, bordering the Farningham Woods Nature Reserve.
There are camping areas of various sizes in individual clearings around the wood, which can all be used for activities, camping or campfires.
There is a simple, cold water toilet block with hand basins, and some modern, unisex WC Container Cabins.
The campsite can be booked for activity days or evenings, in addition to camping, and is also available to non youth-based groups.
