Deer Park is a 30 acre site owned by Girlguiding Gloucestershire and situated in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. Our accommodation options include self-catering buildings with heating for year round use, campsites with shelters and greenfield camping. We have a wide range of on-site activities, plus we are ideally located to access a number of external activities in the local area.

Bubbs Hill site has two campsites. The first at the bottom of the hill has access to a small kitchen with a fridge and freezer, kettle and an outside area with two large sinks plus a drinking water tap. It has shared use of the toilet/shower block which includes 3 single toilets with hand basin, and 2 accessible toilet/shower rooms, one with a changing table. Plus there is a hard shelter with electric lighting and a campfire circle. The second is our greenfield camping space is towards the top of the hill. This has a drinking water tap, but no catering facilities or toilets (groups will need to provide their own camp toilets – there is the facility to dispose of chemical toilet waste). There is also a Treehouse which has space to accommodate 6 people. There is space for one tent to be erected overnight, for example for the adults to sleep in. Whilst this facility does give some shelter, it should be treated as an outdoor facility when planning what bedding, etc to bring.

Groups can also use our main Deer Park site for residentials and day visits. Facilities at this site include:

Deer House – The building is laid out across three levels and sleeps up to 24 people. It is unfortunately  not wheelchair accessible. There is a fully equipped catering kitchen with range cooker, microwave, under-the-counter fridge and freezer and a hot water boiler. The house has toilet and shower facilities. Our activity room has plenty of space for your activities during the day as well as relaxing in the evenings. There are tables and chairs available as well as comfy chairs and use of a projector and screen. The Deer House is bookable for a minimum of 2 nights – no adult only bookings.

Assembly Hall – Our Assembly Hall is situated on the main site and is ideal for sleepovers and weekends away and sleeps up to 24 (18 on mattresses). There is a fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker, microwave, under-the-counter fridge and freezer. Toilet facilities include a fully accessible toilet plus shower facilities.

Tented Village on the main site – The site is equipped with four patrol tents (sleeps up to 6 in each)  plus one additional sleeping tent for adults, sleeping 4 across 2 pods, or 8 people with no pods. There is also a catering marquee, dining marquee and first aid tent.

All tents are pitched and ready for your arrival. The catering tent is fully equipped including a BBQ, gas oven, cool boxes, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, etc. The dining marquee is equipped with tables and benches to seat up to 28 people. There is access to toilet and shower facilities as well as fridge and freezer and drinking water tap.

3 Campsites on the main site – Each site is spacious enough for large groups. There is a fridge and freezer in the hard shelter behind the toilet block and further facilities in the freezer room behind the Deer House. These facilities are shared with all camping groups. There is a drinking water tap plus toilet and shower facilities. Camp fire circles and patrol cooking areas are available.

We have the following activities that can be booked as part of your stay or just for a day or evening activity:
