The Peter Watson Scout Camp is located on the western edge of the Peak District National Park, nestled in the upper reaches of the Dane Valley, on the borders of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. The campsite is located close to both Buxton and Leek, but because of the nature of the Peak District countryside it appears to be in a world of its own!
The campsite is ideally situated for most Peak District activities including climbing, walking and caving and is a much used stopover point for Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, as well as longer troop or patrol camps.
Whether you are hike-camping for a single night, or planning a week long camp, there’s no finer setting to base your adventure!

Delightful spot – good showers – friendly staff – went for Climbing (lots nearby – esp the Roaches), Alton Towers and cave systems (Speedwell, Paek Caverns). One of the best spots to camp
This is an excellent site very close to the Peak District National Park. A river flows through the site and there is excellent walking. Worth staying at this site.
